Enter… Zombie King

Directed by Stacey Case

Starring Jules Delorme, Nicholas “Sinn Bodhi” Sinn, Jennifer Thom, Raymond Carle, Rob ‘El Fuego’ Etcheverria, Sean K. Robb, Jason Winn ‘J.B. Destiny’ Bareford, Jennifer Deschamps and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart

Set in a crazy world of zombies and lucha libre heroes, Enter… Zombie King is a riot from start to finish, and well worth a watch even if you aren’t a wrestling fan.

Ulysses (Jules Delorme) and his buddies take on the evil cohorts of the Zombie King  (Nicholas “Sinn Bodhi” Sinn) in this low-budget gem, throwing dropkicks and dealing out hiptosses as they deal with important issues like honour and friendship. Can they find out what is going on in the woods? Is Tiki, with his U-haul truck of zombie wrestlers, to blame for the vicious murder of a ring rat? And can Blue Saint live up to the legacy of his father, the Original Saint?

Ulysses, US for short, is a fighter for truth, justice and the lucha libre way!

I had a blast with this film. I found it on the Horror Channel at 1am in the morning, and its description “…a group of mexican wrestlers take on zombies…” got me more then a little excited. Wrestling. Zombies. What’s not to like? Throw in some gore, cheesy dialogue, random nudity and a ludicrous plot, and you have a helluva fun ride! There are crazy bumps and well worked fight scenes too, with the plancha by Tiki from the top of his U-haul earning a suprised “oh what!” when I saw him go for it.

Go hunt this flick down, and I bet you won’t regret it. If you love your horror fun, cheap, and with a splash of masked hero action, then it will definately be your thing! Please note, it goes by the name of Zombie King and the Legion of Doom too. Now excuse me, I’m off to watch Wrestlemaniac!
